“Todd Gutschow Lifetime Leadership Award” Recognizes Trudy Bronner’s More than 20 Years of Service and Leadership

VISTA, CA – Dr. Bronner’s, family-owned maker of the top-selling natural brand of soap in North America, is honored to announce that company Chief Financial Officer Trudy Bronner, mother to company CEO David Bronner and President Mike Bronner, has been recognized by the Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD) with the “Todd Gutschow Lifetime Leadership Award.” The award will be presented at the Boys and Girls Club annual event, An Evening of Changing Lives, on September 29, 2018, at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Mariana. Trudy’s late husband Jim Bronner, who served as the president of Dr. Bronner’s and also on the board of the BGCGSD from 1996-1998, pioneered the company’s support for the organization, including the donation of 1,000 acres of land valued at $1.4 million. Trudy herself has served on the BGCGSD board since 1998, and under her leadership, Dr. Bronner’s has for more than two decades, demonstrated an ongoing commitment to support the work of the organization. In addition to the donation of land, Dr. Bronner’s has donated a total more than $1,000,000 since 1996, to support BGCGSD and its youth programming in the area. Dr. Bronner’s is currently in the fourth year of fulfillment of a half-million dollar pledge set to be completed in 2020. The company is committed to supporting of the BGCGSD mission to inspire and enable youth to achieve academic excellence, build good character and responsible citizenship, and make healthy lifestyle choices.
