Emmaus United Kingdom

Emmaus is a UK based charity and community working together to end homelessness by offering housing, meaningful work and a sense of belonging to those in need.
The first Emmaus opened in 1992 and there are now 29 communities, which is what they call their residential sites, spread across the UK. There are also five Emmaus groups currently working to open new communities.

Emmaus supports more than 815 formerly homeless people, by providing them with support, a home for as long as they need it and jobs and job training in their social enterprises. They hope to increase their capacity to 1,000 rooms by 2020.
